Piren Residential House

Piren Residential House

Piren Residential House is an exemplary residential architecture project located in Poznan, Poland, distinguished by its sophisticated spatial design and harmonious integration with its surroundings. Designed by Maciej Basalygo, this 450-square-meter residence spans three floors, including one underground level and two above-ground stories, embodying a thoughtful balance between functionality and aesthetic refinement. The architectural concept emerged from intimate conversations with the owners, translating their passions and lifestyle requirements into spatial solutions that prioritize natural light penetration, material authenticity, and acoustic consideration. The interior spaces are characterized by their non-conventional layout, where functional zones interweave seamlessly, facilitating organic interaction between residents while maintaining private sanctuaries within the home. The material palette showcases specially tinted ash wood, volcanic tuff-colored granite floor slabs, and transparent protective glass elements, all unified by pristine white walls that serve both to reflect light and display artistic works. The project's technical sophistication is evident in its concealed infrastructure managing air quality, illumination, temperature, and acoustics. This innovative residential design, which earned the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail in its custom-designed furniture elements and thoughtful integration of natural materials, creating an environment that transcends basic residential requirements to deliver a sophisticated living experience that maintains its intrigue and functionality over time.
