Pinna Olive Oils Labels is an award-winning packaging design project that exemplifies minimalist aesthetics and contemporary brand storytelling through its innovative label design for olive oil bottles. The design, created by Italian art director Giovanni Murgia in collaboration with graphic designer Viola Orgiano and 3D artist Max Turrini, features a distinctive high-contrast visual approach that harmoniously combines white bottle surfaces with carefully selected color elements. The design's conceptual foundation draws inspiration from the revolutionary work of Sardinian designer Eugenio Tavolara, establishing a visual metaphor that bridges traditional craftsmanship with modern innovation. Utilizing advanced sleeve technology, the labels seamlessly integrate with the Moresca-type bottles, measuring 88.65 mm x 56.40 mm x 176.00 mm, achieving a unified aesthetic while offering superior print quality with vibrant colors and precise details. The design incorporates bucolic scenes of olive harvesting, rendered through a continuous line that extends across multiple bottles, creating a collectible series effect that encourages consumer engagement. This sophisticated packaging solution, developed between October 2022 and February 2023 in Sassari, Italy, successfully balances contemporary market demands with deep-rooted territorial values, earning recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category for its innovative approach to visual communication and brand identity representation.
