Piece Of Your Story Coffee Table

Piece Of Your Story Coffee Table

Piece Of Your Story Coffee Table is an innovative fusion of tattoo artistry and furniture design, representing a groundbreaking intersection between body art culture and functional home decor. Created by professional tattoo artists Stella Nanni and Gabriel Nanni Mazzariol, this distinctive piece transforms the traditional coffee table into an exclusive art object that embodies personal narrative and artistic expression. The design, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category, features a wooden construction meticulously covered with hand-tattooed leather and protected by epoxy resin coating, allowing it to withstand both hot and cold items without damage. The table's sophisticated aesthetic is enhanced by brushed steel legs that create a harmonious balance between industrial and elegant design elements. Measuring 800mm in width, 500mm in depth, and 270mm in height, the piece demonstrates thoughtful consideration for sustainability through its innovative disassembling mechanism, where the legs can be fitted to the table's back during transportation to minimize spatial requirements and reduce fuel consumption. The creation process involved extensive research into leather thickness, needle types, and ink compatibility with resin coating, resulting in a piece that successfully translates the intimate and personal nature of tattoo art into furniture design. This unique approach was inspired by the creators' social initiative of covering scars with tattoos, aiming to bring the same sense of personal transformation and renewal to interior spaces. The table represents a significant innovation in furniture design by introducing tattoo culture into home decor, establishing a new category of personalized, artistic furniture that carries both functional and narrative value.
