Photovoltaic Facade
Photovoltaic Facade is a building surface that uses solar panels to turn sunlight into electricity, and in sustainable architecture, designers use these facades to help buildings make their own clean energy. Some new designs use colored or patterned solar panels, so the facade can look unique while still making power. Designers sometimes place these panels at angles or use special glass to let in daylight for the inside, while still collecting energy on the outside. This way, the facade can help control the temperature inside the building, saving even more energy by reducing the need for heating or cooling.
