Photocatalytic Material
Photocatalytic material, within clean technology, can be used on building surfaces to help break down air pollutants when exposed to sunlight. This material can be applied as a coating on concrete, glass, or tiles, and when sunlight hits it, a chemical reaction happens that helps turn harmful gases like nitrogen oxides into safer substances such as nitrates. Designers can use photocatalytic materials in outdoor spaces, facades, or even walkways to help improve air quality in cities, making public spaces healthier for everyone.
air purification, self-cleaning surfaces, sustainable architecture, urban pollution reduction, green building materials
