Perfume Compacts
Perfume compacts are small, portable containers that hold solid or liquid perfume. They were first introduced in the early 20th century as a way for women to apply fragrance on-the-go. Perfume compacts are typically made of metal, glass, or plastic and come in a variety of shapes and sizes, from simple round or square designs to more elaborate shapes like hearts or flowers. Solid perfume compacts contain a waxy substance that is infused with fragrance oils. When applied to the skin, the warmth of the body melts the wax, releasing the scent. Liquid perfume compacts, on the other hand, contain a small amount of liquid fragrance that is dispensed through a small opening in the container. Some perfume compacts also come with a small applicator, such as a brush or sponge, to make it easier to apply the fragrance. Perfume compacts were popularized in the 1920s and 1930s, when they were often given as gifts and used as a fashion accessory. Many high-end perfume brands, such as Chanel and Guerlain, have released their own lines of perfume compacts over the years. Today, perfume compacts are still a popular choice for those who want to carry their favorite fragrance with them throughout the day.
