The cafe's most remarkable feature is its ceiling installation, known as the Shading Tree, which was developed using sophisticated digital fabrication technology and parametric design principles. This architectural element, crafted from carefully calculated plywood components, extends from the preparation area to create a unique spatial atmosphere throughout the customer zone. The design philosophy centers on challenging traditional perceptions of cafe spaces, exploring how individual experiences can converge in shared environments. The project, completed in 2019, demonstrates exceptional technical innovation in its construction methodology, incorporating computational analysis for structural integrity while maintaining aesthetic warmth. The design earned the Platinum A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, recognizing its outstanding contribution to contemporary interior architecture.
