Peg-Lamp Desk Lamp

Peg-Lamp Desk Lamp

Peg-Lamp Desk Lamp is an innovative lighting solution that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of modern minimalism and traditional craftsmanship, distinguished by its distinctive angled design supported by a colored peg stand. This meticulously handcrafted illumination piece features a slender wooden frame housing LED technology that produces warm, diffused light while maintaining superior energy efficiency. The design's sophisticated engineering encompasses a precisely routed 11/16-inch wood dowel that accommodates LED strips and internal wiring, culminating in a micro-switch integration that demonstrates exceptional attention to technical detail. The lamp's aesthetic appeal is enhanced through the thoughtful combination of natural wood, finished with pure walnut oil to accentuate the grain patterns, and complementary colored fabric cords that extend three meters in length. Standing at 610 millimeters with a base width of 152 millimeters, the lamp delivers 600 lumens per meter of illumination through its 12-inch LED strip, operating on a versatile 12V power adapter compatible with 100V-240V systems. This design, which earned the Bronze A' Design Award in the Lighting Products and Fixtures Design category, represents a significant achievement in addressing the complex challenge of creating a minimalist form while incorporating sophisticated internal components. The lamp's development process involved innovative solutions for precision boring and intricate assembly, demonstrating that handcrafted excellence can successfully merge with contemporary lighting technology to create functional art for modern spaces.
