Paul Jenkins
Paul Jenkins was an American painter who became known for his unique style of color field painting. Born in Kansas City in 1923, Jenkins studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and later moved to New York City where he became a part of the Abstract Expressionist movement. He was heavily influenced by artists such as Jackson Pollock and Mark Rothko, and his works often featured a combination of oil paints, pigments, and wax. He was known for his experimentation with different techniques, including pouring and dripping paint onto the canvas, and his works often had a dream-like quality to them. Throughout his career, Jenkins received numerous accolades and exhibited his works in galleries and museums around the world.
