Parallel Universe Residential House
Parallel Universe Residential House is an innovative residential architectural project completed in 2019, encompassing 905 square meters of living space distributed across three levels - two above ground and one below. This sophisticated dwelling, designed by Mu Yuan, masterfully integrates Art Deco elements with modernist sensibilities, creating a unique spatial experience that reflects both contemporary luxury and timeless elegance. The design's distinctive features include geometric black-and-white marble mosaics at the entrance, which create captivating light effects, and circular motifs symbolizing infinite continuity. The interior showcases meticulous attention to detail through copper plate walls with corrosive embossing depicting city silhouettes, custom decorative elements inspired by wheat ear patterns, and a carefully curated color palette of black, gold, gray, and white. The space planning demonstrates exceptional consideration for multi-generational living, incorporating two thoughtfully positioned bedrooms on the first floor that enable harmonious family interaction without compromising privacy. The project's sophisticated design approach, which draws inspiration from classic cinematographic aesthetics while maintaining a contemporary edge, earned it the Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, recognizing its outstanding contribution to residential architecture and interior design. The house's distinctive triangular roof structure, combined with metallic decorative elements and aristocratic color accents, creates a compelling visual narrative that perfectly balances sophistication with functionality.
