Paper Face Masks
Paper face masks, also known as surgical masks, are disposable masks made of multiple layers of paper or other non-woven materials that cover the nose and mouth. They are commonly used in medical settings to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, as well as in other settings to protect against dust, pollen, and other airborne particles. The outer layer of a paper face mask is typically made of a water-resistant material, while the inner layers are made of a soft, absorbent material that is comfortable to wear. The mask is designed to fit snugly over the nose and mouth, with elastic ear loops or ties to hold it in place. While paper face masks are not as effective as N95 respirators in filtering out airborne particles, they are still an important tool in preventing the spread of infectious diseases. They are particularly effective in preventing the spread of respiratory droplets that are released when a person talks, coughs, or sneezes. In addition to their use in medical settings, paper face masks are also commonly used in construction and other industries to protect workers from dust and other airborne particles. They are also used in some countries as a cultural norm to prevent the spread of illness during cold and flu season.
