Panos Cafe Restaurant is an innovative 24-hour dining establishment that exemplifies the successful fusion of modern design aesthetics with industrial-chic elements, created by designer Martin Lin. This distinctive interior space, spanning approximately 300 square feet, masterfully integrates loft-style components with artistic handicraft elements to create an engaging dining atmosphere that maintains consistent appeal throughout both day and night operations. The design's sophisticated lighting system, incorporating projection lighting and strategically placed chandeliers, enables dynamic ambiance control while maintaining spatial coherence. A standout feature is the extensive use of imported Turkish ceramic tiles, featuring 24 unique patterns that adorn the first-floor bar's back wall, complementing the walnut and black color scheme with bright pine accents. The space's distinctive character is further enhanced by custom furnishings, including animal fur-textured train chairs and authentic African instruments, which contribute to its primitive industrial aesthetic. A notable architectural element is the custom-designed pine wood bread rack, the longest among all branches, which serves both functional and aesthetic purposes by showcasing the restaurant's signature brick-oven bread while creating a striking visual display. The design, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2019, demonstrates exceptional space utilization through features such as a segmented sofa area and convertible lounge space, while the deliberately exposed ceiling pipework reinforces the industrial theme. The integration of practical elements, such as the 16-variety beer display stand and versatile sliding door system, exemplifies the designer's commitment to combining functionality with aesthetic appeal.
