Ouya office Office is an innovative interior design project completed in 2016, showcasing a sophisticated interpretation of spatial dynamics through the thoughtful interplay of light, shadow, and material composition. Located in Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province, this 350-square-meter office space represents a harmonious fusion of Eastern and Western design philosophies, conceived by designer Yubiao Xu. The project's distinctive approach lies in its deconstruction of traditional spatial planes and the creative manipulation of black and white spaces, achieving a delicate balance through minimalist material selection. The design employs a strategic combination of plastic, wood, and artificial marble flooring materials, creating dynamic visual effects through light refraction and spatial dimension variations. Drawing inspiration from the natural properties of ice and water, the design explores the transformative qualities of transparency and opacity, embodying the Eastern philosophical principles of Yin and Yang in its spatial composition. The project, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional innovation in sustainable material usage and structural form, effectively creating an environment that promotes the symbiotic relationship between occupants and space.
