The clinic, designed by Lieh-Wei Liu and team in 2021, draws inspiration from nature's protective structures such as nests, egg shells, and fruit kernels, translating these organic forms into a sophisticated healthcare environment. The 132-square-meter dental space employs curved surfaces as its primary architectural language, effectively dissolving conventional spatial boundaries between floors, walls, and ceilings to create a seamless, womb-like environment. This groundbreaking design specifically caters to sleep apnea treatment through orthodontia, featuring pod-like treatment rooms that embody the concept of life's origin while maintaining strict medical functionality. The project's execution required extensive technical innovation, including precise CNC cutting for the egg-shaped treatment rooms and careful integration of medical equipment within the minimalist space. The design successfully balances rational medical requirements with sensual, abstract concepts, creating an environment that nurtures both physical and psychological healing. The clinic's innovative approach to healthcare design earned it the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, recognizing its exceptional contribution to medical facility design.
