Optimal Care Residence is an award-winning architectural renovation project that exemplifies thoughtful interior design focused on multi-generational living and elderly care. This 186-square-meter duplex penthouse transformation showcases innovative space utilization through its sophisticated two-story layout, featuring a harmonious blend of public and private spaces. The ground floor serves as the primary living area, distinguished by a dramatic two-story glass curtain wall that floods the space with natural light, while seamlessly integrating the kitchen into an open-plan living arrangement. The design demonstrates particular attention to elderly safety and comfort through specialized features such as widened stair steps and embedded handrails, complemented by a sophisticated lighting system that includes indirect illumination for spatial transitions. The interior aesthetic is characterized by a refined color palette of black, white, and gray, enhanced by the use of wood and water-mold paint finishes. The second floor incorporates a unique library corridor connected to a rest area with floor-to-ceiling windows, offering contemplative spaces for relaxation and reading. The project, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design, exemplifies sustainable design practices through its innovative use of recycled materials, including metal pipes from a family factory repurposed as decorative elements.
