On The Table Arcade Table
On the Table Arcade table is an innovative fusion of contemporary furniture design and retro gaming entertainment, conceived to bridge the gap between sophisticated home décor and nostalgic gaming experiences. This transformative piece, designed by Yu Hiraoka in Milan, represents a sophisticated solution for adults who cherish their gaming memories from the 1980s and 1990s while maintaining an elegant living space. The design, which earned a Silver A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category, seamlessly transitions between a stylish modern coffee table and a fully functional arcade gaming console. Crafted from premium materials including wood and stainless steel, the table features precise dimensions of 700mm width, 500mm depth, and 345mm height, making it an ideal centerpiece for contemporary living spaces. The innovative design addresses the challenge of integrating entertainment technology into sophisticated interior environments without compromising aesthetic appeal. When not in use for gaming, the console interface remains discreetly hidden, preserving the clean lines and minimalist appearance of a high-end coffee table. The design caters to both single and two-player gaming experiences, incorporating authentic arcade-style controls that pay homage to the golden era of video gaming. This award-winning piece exemplifies the evolution of furniture design in response to modern lifestyle needs, successfully merging functionality with refined aesthetics. The A' Design Award recognition underscores its significance in advancing the boundaries of furniture design while addressing the growing demand for multifunctional home furnishings that accommodate both entertainment and style.
