Omi Modular Sweeping Robot

Omi Modular Sweeping Robot

Omi Modular Sweeping Robot is an innovative outdoor intelligent cleaning system designed to revolutionize urban sanitation work through its modular approach and advanced automation capabilities. Developed to address the challenges faced by sanitation workers, this sophisticated robotic system comprises a mobile base platform complemented by six interchangeable functional modules: disinfection, vacuuming, sweeping, stagnant water treatment, guardrail cleaning, and water jet washing. The design, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Robotics, Automaton and Automation Design category, incorporates cutting-edge technologies including vacuum systems, high-pressure water pumps, and electromagnetic adsorption mechanisms. Standing at 1500mm x 1000mm x 1300mm, the robot features an intelligent auto-follow capability that enables it to autonomously accompany sanitation workers within designated areas. The system's modular architecture allows workers to customize their cleaning configuration based on weather conditions and specific task requirements, with modules being easily installed and removed through an intuitive mounting system featuring indicator lights for guidance. The robot employs environmental sensor technology and automatic touring capabilities, while its construction combines plastic injection molding for the functional modules and metal stamping for the main body. This innovative design significantly improves working conditions by reducing physical strain and increasing efficiency, particularly in challenging weather conditions. The robot's ability to handle multiple cleaning tasks through its modular approach, combined with its user-friendly interface and automated features, represents a significant advancement in urban sanitation technology, offering a comprehensive solution that enhances both worker safety and operational efficiency.
