Nyx Kids Tableware
Nyx Kids Tableware is an innovative children's dining collection that exemplifies the successful fusion of youthful creativity and professional design expertise, born from a unique collaborative process between a 10-year-old child and a professional designer. This groundbreaking tableware design, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware and Cookware Design category, represents a paradigm shift in children's dining accessories by incorporating playful aesthetics with functional considerations. The collection features elegant wavy forms inspired by playground equipment, deliberately designed to enhance the dining experience while maintaining practical usability. Crafted from melamine, a stable and non-toxic material, the tableware ensures safety during contact with both hot and cold substances, making it ideal for daily use by children. A distinguishing characteristic of this design is its customization capability, allowing users to select their preferred patterns, colors, and shapes, thereby creating a personal connection with the product. The development process utilized advanced 21st-century technologies, including CAD modeling, parametric design, and digital fabrication, resulting in a sophisticated product that measures approximately 26cm x 21cm x 10cm. The nine-month development period, spanning between Russia and Dubai, focused on transforming children's dining into an engaging, pleasurable experience through extensive research into young users' eating habits and preferences. This innovative approach to children's tableware design successfully bridges the gap between imaginative childhood perspectives and practical design considerations, creating a product that encourages positive dining experiences for young users.
