No. 1328 Concentration Residential House

No. 1328 Concentration Residential House is an exemplary residential architectural project completed in 2018 in Taoyuan City, Taiwan, that embodies the principles of minimalist design and functional simplicity. This sophisticated dwelling, spanning 675 square meters across multiple levels, represents a thoughtful approach to contemporary living spaces where functionality harmoniously merges with comfort. The structure features a methodically planned vertical arrangement, with the living room positioned on the first floor, master bedroom and study on the second floor, children's rooms on the third floor, and a Buddhist chapel crowning the fourth floor, while the basement serves as a recreation area with minimal decoration to maximize spatial utility. The interior design, recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, showcases remarkable attention to detail through its 34-degree gray walls, both interior and exterior, which create dynamic visual effects through the interplay of light and shadow. Designed by Wen Liang Hung, alongside team members Ryan Liu and Edison Ke, the residence incorporates advanced technological solutions including water purification devices, dehumidification systems, and climate control throughout to ensure optimal living conditions. The design philosophy emphasizes privacy and contemplation, deliberately creating an environment that prioritizes the inhabitants' comfort over entertainment spaces. Natural elements are thoughtfully integrated through the strategic introduction of natural light and ventilation, while the large gray walls serve as a defining architectural element that guides the interior layout. The space utilizes sophisticated design techniques such as varying degrees of openness, strategic closures, slopes, and spatial divisions to create appropriate proportions for individual areas, all while maintaining aesthetic cohesion throughout the structure.
