Ningbo Bauhinia Business Center Office is an innovative interior architectural project completed in 2020, representing a sophisticated interpretation of industrial aesthetics within a commercial space setting. Located in Ningbo, China, a historically significant port city and former starting point of the ancient Maritime Silk Road, this 1,548-square-meter business center draws its primary inspiration from maritime container terminals, translating their utilitarian elements into a refined commercial environment. The design methodology employs a modular approach, conceptually deconstructing and reassembling container-like spaces to create diverse functional areas while maintaining visual coherence. Industrial die-cast corrugated metal panels serve as a key design element, their textural qualities enhanced by high-saturation color treatments that reference the vibrant appearance of shipping containers. The space demonstrates exceptional versatility through its innovative use of movable partitions, particularly in the conference areas, allowing seamless transitions between open-plan configurations and private meeting spaces.
