This comprehensive transportation hub, spanning 45,000 square meters, represents a sophisticated approach to contemporary transit facility design, incorporating both functional efficiency and cultural sensitivity. The design philosophy centers on three key principles: urban integration, vertical penetration, and contextual inheritance, manifesting in a strip volume configuration that harmoniously aligns with railway streamlines while maintaining a modern aesthetic. The interior space features a thoughtfully designed waiting hall that serves as the city's new living room, utilizing a warm wood color palette and traditional Chinese cultural elements to create a welcoming atmosphere. The facility's architectural language draws inspiration from Dongyang City's traditional design elements, employing vertical components to establish a coherent spatial rhythm, while the innovative ceiling design combines composite metal lines with wood carving patterns to create an infinite sense of extension and enhanced visual guidance. The project, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, distinguishes itself through the strategic integration of commercial spaces along its corridors, featuring full-glass storefronts that optimize display conditions and create a multi-functional environment catering to diverse passenger needs including dining, rest, and retail experiences. The design's sophisticated implementation of bucket arch structures and traditional wood carving techniques pays homage to the region's rich historical heritage while advancing modern transportation facility standards.
