New Universe Residential Building
New Universe Residential Building is an exemplary architectural project that masterfully combines Art Deco aesthetics with contemporary simplicity, situated in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. This sophisticated residential complex, spanning 5,967 square meters, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail in its exterior construction, featuring linear elements that harmoniously blend modernist simplicity with Art Deco craftsmanship. The building's facade is distinguished by its innovative use of materials, including light black granite at the base that conveys security and stability, while engraved wood grain bricks add refined elegance to the overall composition. Notable design elements include titanium-plated family crests and metal rails that create an atmosphere of understated luxury, while the balconies incorporate verdant plants, transparent glass parapets, and classical panel grilles enhanced by colored glass elements. The project's innovative approach to natural light integration is evident in the driveway walls, which feature artistic circular perforations inspired by contemporary dot artworks, serving both functional and aesthetic purposes. The architectural design, recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, showcases a thoughtful integration of architecture with its natural surroundings, emphasizing the harmonious relationship between built environment and landscape. The building's sophisticated lighting scheme, including elegant wall lamps along its exterior, maintains visual interest while contributing to the structure's vitality and security. This residential project represents a significant achievement in contemporary architectural design, where functionality meets aesthetic excellence through careful consideration of materials, light, and spatial relationships.
