Netheravon Chair Chair
Netheravon Chair Chair is an innovative furniture design that exemplifies the harmonious blend of compact functionality and aesthetic sophistication in contemporary seating solutions. Created by Canadian designer Philippe Beauparlant, this distinctive chair represents a thoughtful exploration of soft seating configurations, characterized by its sculptural upholstery and precise dimensional considerations of 24 inches in width and depth, with a seating height of 15 inches and overall height of 26¾ inches. The design's fundamental concept revolves around creating a compact yet comfortable seating experience, achieved through a carefully engineered combination of molded polyurethane foam, premium fabric upholstery, an oiled solid white oak base, and a painted steel back bracket. The chair's distinctive feature lies in its ability to inspire various spatial configurations, whether arranged independently or in combinations, making it particularly suitable for small spaces while maintaining the essence of luxurious lounge furniture. The design successfully addresses the challenge of creating a compact seating solution without compromising on visual presence or comfort, achieved through a meticulous focus on ergonomic principles and the strategic implementation of a flexible backrest. The chair's aesthetic is characterized by the striking contrast between its curved, inviting interior forms and rectilinear exterior profile, creating what appears to be a moment frozen in movement. This innovative design, which received the Bronze A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category in 2017, demonstrates exceptional attention to manufacturing honesty and assembly practicality, featuring easily accessible fasteners and a visible back support bracket that integrates seamlessly into the overall design language.
