NE 17 Residential House is a sophisticated residential interior design project completed in 2019 in Taoyuan, Taiwan, distinguished by its innovative use of natural light and modular spatial design. The 190-square-meter apartment showcases a masterful integration of contemporary design elements, featuring dramatic 20-meter-high French-styled windows that serve as the focal point of the architectural composition. The interior design scheme employs a refined color palette of black, grey, and white, complemented by metallic accents including titanium plating and silver-hued wall treatments sourced from Italian craftsmen. The space encompasses three bedrooms, three bathrooms, an open-concept kitchen with a minibar, a dining area, a living room, a study studio, and two balconies, all thoughtfully arranged to maximize both functionality and aesthetic appeal. The design's most notable feature is its adaptable layout, which can transform from separate functional spaces into a unified entertainment area through innovative spatial planning. The study area, accommodating up to six people with a U-shaped built-in table, is elegantly partitioned using industrial-style sliding glass panels. The living room features a sophisticated back wall treatment with soft silver hues, while the dining area incorporates sleek black iron elements, mirrors, and painted wooden features. This award-winning design, recognized with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional attention to environmental interaction, particularly in its manipulation of natural light to create dynamic shadow plays throughout the day, enhancing the visual experience and spatial perception of the interior environment.
