Natural Beauty Interior Design

Natural Beauty Interior Design

Natural Beauty Interior Design is an award-winning interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of natural elements within a contemporary salon space located in the emerging urbane district of Dazhi, Taipei City. Completed in January 2016 by designers Hsin-Pei Chiang and Shang-En Yang, this 60-square-meter space masterfully utilizes a 4.2-meter ceiling height through an innovative mezzanine architectural structure that effectively extends the working area while maintaining spatial fluidity. The design philosophy centers on creating a stress-free environment through the extensive use of wood and natural construction materials, reflecting the personal characteristics of the salon's proprietor. The interior architecture features several distinctive elements, including a tall reception area, crisscross paved flooring, and a cube-surface counter, all of which contribute to an enhanced sense of spaciousness. The design incorporates sophisticated solutions such as a sliding door system and under-stair storage that optimize space utilization while ensuring privacy in the VIP area. A large green wall, curved display stand with artificial turf, and consistent wood grain textures throughout create a cohesive and harmonious atmosphere. The thoughtful integration of mirrors and lighting design further enhances the spatial experience, creating an environment that transforms the routine act of hairstyling into a pleasant, therapeutic experience. This exemplary project, which won the Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates excellence in spatial planning, material selection, and environmental psychology, setting a new standard for contemporary salon design.
