Nanhua Kindergarten Graduation Season

Nanhua Kindergarten Graduation Season

Nanhua Kindergarten Graduation Season is an innovative educational design project that exemplifies the integration of childhood creativity with commemorative documentation, recognized with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design category. This comprehensive visual communication initiative, conceived and executed by Chinese designer Zhaocheng He, transforms children's self-portraits and career aspirations into a cohesive graduation season promotional campaign. The project's distinguishing feature lies in its methodology, where children are guided to create their own portraits using paintbrushes, resulting in illustrations that capture authentic childlike charm and personality. These artistic expressions are thoughtfully arranged and designed into various promotional materials, printed on eco-friendly paper with dimensions of 400mm x 200mm x 80mm. The design's significance extends beyond mere documentation, as it actively encourages children to articulate and visualize their future career aspirations, positioning each child as a protagonist in their own developmental journey. This participatory approach not only creates meaningful memorabilia for both children and parents but also serves as a pedagogical tool that promotes self-expression, career awareness, and artistic development. The project, completed over a one-month duration, demonstrates excellence in visual communication design through its careful consideration of layout, material selection, and integration of handcrafted elements, establishing a meaningful connection between educational milestones and creative expression.
