The architectural design, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category, features a distinctive arrangement of spaces organized around a central courtyard connected by a semi-covered internal street that facilitates continuous movement and activities. The single-story structure, spanning 737 square meters within a 6150 square meter site, employs alternative construction techniques including rammed earth foundation and hollow terracotta roofing, demonstrating a commitment to sustainable building practices. The design philosophy emphasizes the creation of spaces that respond to children's natural curiosity and facilitate integral learning through thoughtfully crafted environments. Notable architectural elements include raised roofs with strategic skylights that create spiritual connections to the sky, while large windows ensure abundant natural light and seamless indoor-outdoor integration. The kindergarten's design breaks from conventional educational architecture by incorporating playfully interactive spaces that serve as engaging elements for children's development. The central courtyard, shaded by an existing Neem tree, acts as a calm anchor for the entire composition, symbolizing an open-minded approach to education. The project, completed in four phases between 2006 and 2014, showcases innovative building techniques, climate-responsive design principles, and exposed materials that maintain honesty in architectural expression while creating an environment conducive to holistic child development.
