Nam Kwong Diehu Center Complex
Nam Kwong Diehu Center Complex is an innovative architectural masterpiece located in the Central Business District of Qidong City, China, distinguished by its striking butterfly-inspired twin tower design adjacent to the scenic Diehu Lake. Conceived by Peng Architects and awarded the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design category, this ambitious complex encompasses a total area of 304,000 square meters, seamlessly integrating commercial, residential, and public spaces. The design philosophy draws inspiration from the natural landscape of Diehu Lake, locally known as butterfly lake, with the twin towers metaphorically representing butterfly wings, symbolizing Qidong City's transformation and emergence as an international hub. The complex is strategically divided into three distinct zones: Plot A serves as the commercial and working area adjacent to the Qidong Cultural and Sports Center, while plots B1 and B2, separated by Huangpujiang Road, are dedicated to residential purposes. Following the master plan concept of One City and Three Districts, the development emphasizes ecological sustainability, technological integration, and health-focused design principles, featuring fitness parks and green spaces that promote community well-being. The architectural composition demonstrates exceptional attention to spatial harmony, incorporating panoramic views of Diehu Lake while establishing connections with surrounding public cultural facilities through an integrated road system. This landmark development, designed in April 2019, represents a significant contribution to urban planning and architectural innovation, embodying the principles of ecological consciousness, technological advancement, and healthy urban living.
