Mystica - Night Safari Event Design
Mystica - Night Safari Event design is an innovative experiential event installation that seamlessly integrates tribal aesthetics, environmental education, and nocturnal wildlife themes within a zoological setting. Created by designer Aris Mannequis, this Bronze A' Design Award-winning project transforms the nocturnal wildlife park environment through strategic placement of illuminated installations, interactive elements, and carefully crafted atmospheric designs. The comprehensive design scheme encompasses multiple architectural elements, including a 7-meter by 4-meter entrance decoration area, a 9.4-meter by 4-meter queue entrance arch, and a 3.6-meter by 2.9-meter cave photo opportunity installation. The design's material palette primarily consists of weather-resistant wood, complemented by acrylic elements, dried foliage, textural stickers, and specialized lighting systems that create an immersive, mysterious ambiance. The installation's conceptual framework draws inspiration from tribal motifs and wildlife, incorporating educational nodes throughout the space to raise awareness about environmental conservation. The design successfully overcomes significant challenges related to scale, outdoor durability, and lighting optimization in a nocturnal setting, while creating engaging experiences through treasure hunts and interactive performances. This innovative approach to event design, recognized by the A' Design Award in the Event and Happening Design category, demonstrates excellence in combining functional requirements with aesthetic appeal, creating a harmonious balance between entertainment and education in a unique nighttime safari context.
