My Pace My Moments Installation

My Pace My Moments Installation is an innovative architectural art installation that explores the human perception of time through a sophisticated arrangement of nearly 200 square pillars, creating an immersive spatial experience. Designed by a collaborative team from Taiwan, this installation spans approximately 169 square meters and employs a thoughtful combination of visual and auditory elements to challenge conventional temporal perspectives. Each pillar features a distinct four-color scheme representing different times of day: yellow for morning, orange for noon, red for evening, and grey for late night, with carefully calculated azimuth arrangements that create dynamic visual transitions as visitors navigate the space. The installation's central feature includes a 2.5rpm rotating horn-like structure that conceptually condenses 24 hours into 24 seconds, offering a unique meditation on time's passage. The design incorporates three interactive zones equipped with specialized seating and audio components that play carefully curated ambient sounds corresponding to different daily activities, from morning coffee preparation to evening meal preparation. This sophisticated work, which was completed in Taipei in 2021 and received recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Fine Arts and Art Installation Design category, demonstrates exceptional technical execution in its foam board construction and specialized paint application, particularly notable for achieving precise four-sided color applications on each pillar.
