Muse Conceptual Exhibtion
Muse Conceptual Exhibition is an innovative experimental design project that explores the multifaceted nature of musical perception through three distinct installation experiences, each offering unique ways to engage with and understand music visually and sensorially. This groundbreaking exhibition, which earned the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design category, comprises three main installations, each measuring 2m x 2m x 3m, strategically designed to investigate different aspects of musical perception. The first installation employs thermo-active material to create a purely sensational experience, while the second installation presents a decoded interpretation of musical spatiality. The third installation, featuring interactive tables, establishes a compelling translation between traditional music notation and visual forms. Drawing inspiration from Greek mythology's nine Muses, the exhibition's conceptual framework explores the universality of perception while acknowledging individual uniqueness in musical interpretation. The project, developed through extensive research from September 2019 to June 2020, addresses the complex relationship between sensory experience and logical comprehension in musical perception. Through its innovative use of materials including thermo-active fabric, acrylic tiles, and Antalis Skin Paper, the exhibition creates an immersive environment that encourages participants to explore music through visual and tactile means. The installation's design philosophy emphasizes the importance of understanding how perception influences design practice, while its minimalistic approach to data visualization effectively communicates complex psychological concepts related to musical perception.
