Crafted from premium materials including cherry, beech, and black walnut woods through a combination of traditional handcrafting and modern CNC carving techniques, this design pays homage to China's five-thousand-year-old mortise-tenon tradition while addressing contemporary needs for functional desk accessories. The work's cultural significance and innovative approach to preserving traditional craftsmanship earned it recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Cultural Heritage and Culture Industry Design category, acknowledging its contribution to maintaining cultural authenticity while advancing design innovation.
