MorePlusDesk With Moss Table
MorePlusDesk with moss Table is an innovative eco-design furniture piece that seamlessly integrates natural elements with functional workspace design, created by Italian architect and designer Giorgio Caporaso. This sustainable table features a distinctive cardboard body complemented by lacquered wood finishes, showcasing a harmonious blend of eco-friendly materials and contemporary aesthetics. The table's most striking feature is its incorporation of living moss, which thrives beneath a tempered glass top, sustained solely by ambient air humidity, creating a unique biophilic connection within interior spaces. The design, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Sustainable Products, Projects and Green Design category, exemplifies a sophisticated approach to sustainable furniture design through its modular construction that allows for complete disassembly, facilitating recycling and repairs. Measuring 2000mm in width, 900mm in depth, and 710mm in height, the table's structural integrity is maintained through four steel supports that secure the tempered glass top. The design philosophy behind this piece stems from a desire to bridge the gap between indoor environments and nature, offering users a tangible connection to the natural world while maintaining functionality and aesthetic appeal. The table's pure lines and thoughtful material combinations demonstrate a careful balance between sustainability and contemporary design sensibilities, while its customizable nature and repairable components contribute to an extended lifecycle, aligning with principles of circular economy and sustainable design practices.
