Moon House Children Tent
Moon House Children tent is an innovative children's furniture design that seamlessly combines educational play with interactive assembly experiences. This architectural play structure, crafted from environmentally conscious materials including Tung wood and felt, represents a sophisticated approach to children's recreational spaces through its paper folding-inspired construction methodology. The design, which garnered a Silver A' Design Award in the Baby, Kids and Children's Products Design category, features an ingenious assembly system comprising 18 individual pieces that can be constructed collaboratively by children and parents, fostering valuable bonding experiences. The structure, measuring 1600mm x 1300mm x 1800mm, incorporates a thoughtfully designed entertainment space complemented by a hexahedral storage unit for toys. Distinguished by its nature-inspired aesthetic elements, including sun, moon, and star-themed windows, the tent's design draws inspiration from camping experiences under starlit skies. The innovative surface treatment allows children to personalize their space through drawing and decoration on the veneer-covered wooden boards. This design exemplifies a harmonious blend of functionality and interactive learning, emphasizing parent-child engagement while maintaining environmental consciousness through its recyclable material selection. The tent's structural integrity is maintained through precise attaching and cutting technologies, while its modular design facilitates easy assembly, disassembly, and storage, making it an exemplary piece of contemporary children's furniture design that received recognition at the A' Design Award competition for its outstanding contribution to children's product design.
