Mood Bar Restaurant is an innovative interior design project that exemplifies sophisticated spatial design through its unique dual-concept approach, completed in 2017 in Eastern Taipei. The establishment introduces a revolutionary Jump Bar concept that distinctively divides the 142-square-meter space into two contrasting environments: the High Bar and the Moon Bar. The High Bar section features expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, positioning bartenders as artistic performers and facilitating meaningful interactions between mixologists and patrons. The design employs a refined color palette dominated by white Venetian-plaster ceilings and walls, complemented by white silestone counters and ash-gray flooring, creating an elegant atmosphere that elevates the wine-tasting experience. The space's sophisticated aesthetic is enhanced through the strategic use of dark antique-style mirrors, which create a striking visual contrast against the predominantly white interior. The Moon Bar section offers a more intimate atmosphere with subdued lighting, designed specifically for personalized wine experiences and storytelling between bartenders and guests. The thoughtful integration of natural elements, including seasonal flowers and soothing earth tones, alongside the innovative use of pinewood and titanium plating in the bar counter design, creates a harmonious blend of aggressive style and graceful aesthetics. This exceptional design, created by Cheng-Yu Yang, earned the Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, recognizing its outstanding contribution to spatial design innovation and customer experience enhancement.
