Moment Conceptual fashion collection is an innovative fashion design project that explores the theoretical construing of time through garment creation, representing a significant contribution to conceptual fashion design. This avant-garde collection, designed by Tina Gorjanc, challenges traditional perspectives on timelessness in fashion by interpreting temporal independence through both theoretical framework and physical form. The collection comprises multiple pieces including a dress (1510mm height), raincoat (1230mm height), top (700mm), and trousers (1210mm), each crafted to simulate frozen moments and the impact of external forces on textile fabric. The manufacturing process integrates sophisticated techniques including wire modeling, airbrush application, casting, sewing, and pattern design, utilizing materials such as polyurethane varnish, liquid latex, metal fibres textile, pure wool, and waxed cotton textile. The collection's distinctive aesthetic is achieved through experimental processes that create the illusion of natural forces affecting garment forms, resulting in sculptural pieces that blur the boundaries between wearable art and fashion design. While conceptual in nature, the garments maintain wearability despite varying degrees of mobility, positioning them uniquely within performance and costume design spheres. The collection, which earned a Silver A' Design Award in the Fashion, Apparel and Garment Design category, represents a significant achievement in material innovation and conceptual fashion design, demonstrating excellence in both theoretical approach and practical execution. The project's nine-month development period involved extensive research into material characteristics and their incorporation into garments, resulting in pieces that successfully balance artistic expression with practical considerations such as skin compatibility and weight management.
