Moik Schiele

Moik Schiele (1890-1918) was a renowned Swiss artist and a leading figure in the Expressionist movement. He was known for producing bold, stark paintings that depicted a distorted version of reality. His works were often melancholic, dark and laden with allegory and symbolism that made them emotionally raw. His striking oeuvre includes such works as 'The Family', 'Nude Self-Portrait', 'The Cemetery' and 'The Embrace'. His highly experimental use of color and line marks an important contribution to art history.
