Mew Gic Cat Furniture
Mew Gic Cat Furniture is an innovative, modular pet furniture system that revolutionizes the concept of cat habitats through its infinitely expandable, nail-free design approach. This sophisticated piece of pet furniture embodies a transformative DIY philosophy, allowing users to become creators by assembling custom configurations using identical square plates and sisal columns connected through an ingenious mortise and tenon joint system. The design features a distinctive rotating circular plate mechanism that can function as a cat channel, jumping platform, or sealing plate, demonstrating remarkable versatility in its application. Crafted from environmentally conscious bamboo lamella and precision-manufactured using CNC processing, the furniture system maintains a strong commitment to sustainability through its replaceable parts program, which minimizes waste and environmental impact. Each module measures 400mm in width, depth, and height, creating a perfectly proportioned building block for endless architectural possibilities. The furniture's development, completed in 2021, addresses the growing need for pet furniture that harmoniously integrates with modern living spaces while responding to the increasing trend of pet ownership and its role in addressing urban loneliness. The design, which earned a Silver A' Design Award in the Pet Care, Toys, Supplies and Products for Animals Design category, exemplifies excellence in combining functionality with aesthetic appeal. Its innovative structural solutions and user-centric approach demonstrate a deep understanding of both feline behavior and human interior design preferences, making it a significant contribution to the pet furniture market.
