Metropolis Gorgeous Color Residential

Metropolis Gorgeous Color Residential

Metropolis Gorgeous Color Residential is an innovative interior design project completed in December 2015 that reimagines residential space through a bold exploration of chromatic possibilities and spatial dynamics. Located in China, this 75-square-meter sample flat demonstrates a revolutionary approach to residential interior design by incorporating an extensive color palette that symbolizes the diversity of modern living experiences. The project, designed by Mingbin Yang, challenges conventional spatial arrangements through a sophisticated interplay of levels, planes, and geometric compositions. The design philosophy centers on creating all possible colors as a metaphor for accommodating diverse lifestyles, utilizing wall cloth, metal, and paint as primary materials to achieve its distinctive aesthetic character. The interior space is characterized by its unconventional approach to spatial organization, featuring carefully orchestrated level changes and patchwork designs that break away from traditional flat-plane concepts. This innovative residential design showcases exceptional individuality through its precise execution and audacious color applications, creating a harmonious balance between functionality and artistic expression. The project's significance was recognized with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its outstanding contribution to residential interior design through its innovative use of space, material selection excellence, and masterful color scheme implementation.
