Mercury Hotel Garden
Mercury Hotel Garden is an innovative architectural landscape project located on the coral coast of Kish Island, Iran, exemplifying a harmonious blend of biophilic design and cultural identity. Conceived in 2019 by architects Peyman Kiani Falavarjani and Parisa Biriya, this 1200-square-meter entrance garden draws profound inspiration from the underwater ecosystems of the Persian Gulf, particularly focusing on coral formations and bioluminescent coastal creatures. The design philosophy integrates sophisticated lighting systems that mirror the natural phenomenon of marine bioluminescence, creating an immersive nocturnal experience that echoes the coastal environment. The garden's bio-morphic architecture employs contemporary design principles while maintaining strong emotional connections to its geographical context, featuring carefully orchestrated contrasts through strategic lighting placement and angular compositions. This Silver A' Design Award-winning project demonstrates exceptional innovation in landscape architecture, incorporating advanced computational design methodologies through the utilization of sophisticated architectural software including Revit, Rhino with Grasshopper, and 3D Max. The garden serves as an integral component of a 5-star hotel complex, offering visitors a transformative spatial experience that seamlessly connects the built environment with the natural maritime landscape, while addressing functional requirements through a hierarchy of unified forms that reflect the location's distinct identity.
