Mercku Mobile application is an innovative network management solution designed to provide comprehensive control over Wi-Fi systems, offering users unprecedented authority over connectivity, bandwidth allocation, and security features. This sophisticated mobile application, developed by designers Ronghao Jin and Juan Lin, represents a significant advancement in home network management technology, incorporating intuitive user interface design with powerful control capabilities. The application enables hosts to monitor and manage network users effectively, implementing features such as QR code-based user authentication, real-time bandwidth monitoring, and granular access control mechanisms. Distinguished by its aesthetically pleasing interface and user-centric design approach, the application streamlines complex network management tasks into three primary functional areas: connectivity oversight, user administration, and network performance monitoring. The development process, which commenced in September 2017, involved extensive research including both qualitative and quantitative analysis of over 500 respondents, ensuring the final product addressed genuine user needs and preferences. The application's technical architecture supports both iOS (version 8.0 and above) and Android (version 4.2 and above) platforms, demonstrating cross-platform versatility. In recognition of its exceptional design and functionality, the application was honored with the Silver A' Design Award in the Mobile Technologies, Applications and Software Design category, acknowledging its contribution to advancing user-centered design in network management solutions. The application's innovative approach to solving common network management challenges, combined with its focus on security and user experience, represents a significant evolution in home network control systems.
