Merchants Yonglan Bay Sales Center
Merchants Yonglan Bay Sales Center is an innovative interior design project located in Qinhan New City of Xixian New Area, Xi'an, China, completed in March 2022, that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of natural elements with contemporary architectural design. This 1,000-square-meter space, designed by Kelly Lin, transforms the traditional concept of a sales center into an immersive ecological experience, drawing inspiration from the microscopic elements of the natural world. The design philosophy centers on creating a forest-like environment within an urban setting, utilizing sophisticated combinations of golden crystals, natural rock formations, and verdant botanical elements. The space features a meticulously crafted ceiling installation combining crystal lighting fixtures and metallic wire elements, creating an abstract canopy effect that mimics natural forest coverage. A distinctive feature of the center is its ecological laboratory concept integrated into the water bar area, where botanical installations and artistic glass vessels create a dialogue between natural science and avant-garde aesthetics. The design employs a thoughtful material palette including clay porcelain, red clay rocks, and living plants, orchestrated in a manner that emphasizes the intersection of natural beauty and artistic expression. The project's location adjacent to the Weihe River's Ecological Landscape Belt enhances its contextual significance, while its innovative approach to spatial design earned it the Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, recognizing its excellence in creating an environment that transcends conventional commercial space design.
