Meet Spring With Plant Icon
Meet Spring with Plant Icon is an innovative digital design project that explores the intersection of urban environmental challenges and plant-based solutions through interactive visual communication. Created by Chinese designer Lu Zhao, this sophisticated work transforms scientific research on plant purification capabilities into an engaging virtual exhibition space. The project encompasses 16 distinct plant icons, each meticulously designed to represent different purification functions such as air cleaning, bacteria elimination, noise reduction, and pollutant absorption in urban environments. The design uniquely combines pollution-related urban elements with plant imagery, utilizing black tones to symbolize the absorption effects of vegetation on urban pollutants. Developed between April and June 2022, this groundbreaking work leverages advanced 3D modeling through Blender and Unreal Engine 5 to create an immersive virtual space where two-dimensional icons are transformed into three-dimensional flower shapes. The project, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design category, represents a significant contribution to environmental awareness through design. The work's technical specifications maintain a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels, ensuring optimal viewing quality across digital platforms. This innovative approach to environmental education demonstrates how digital design can bridge the gap between scientific understanding and public awareness, particularly relevant during periods when physical exhibitions were challenging to organize.
