Media Majlis Multimedia Interface is an innovative multimedia exhibition system designed to showcase the rich history and cultural significance of Arab cinema from the 1920s to the present day. This sophisticated interactive installation, created by Creative Director Marla Supnick and her team, features an impressive 8x3 array of cascading digital screens with touch overlay functionality, complemented by six individual 1905mm portrait-oriented interactive stations. The interface employs custom-built software developed in C++ with OpenFramework libraries, enabling seamless coordination across multiple computing units to function as a unified system. This groundbreaking installation, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interface, Interaction and User Experience Design category, represents a significant advancement in cultural exhibition technology. The interface's architecture divides content into distinct sections, allowing visitors to explore various aspects of Arab cinema through contextual interviews, narrative discussions, and external media assets, all while offering bilingual accessibility. The system's innovative design approach carefully balances passive and interactive content across two non-interactive and six interactive columns, creating an engaging visitor experience that challenges conventional narratives about Arab representation in global cinema.
