Meadow Coffee Table is an innovative and multifunctional piece of furniture designed by Eva Strukelj and Ignacio Lopez Sola, exemplifying the harmonious fusion of natural aesthetics and practical functionality in contemporary furniture design. This sophisticated living room centerpiece, crafted from locally harvested Slovenian oak wood, features a distinctive design that incorporates a stylized wheat field pattern running along its surface, creating a subtle yet visually striking connection between indoor living spaces and natural landscapes. The table's primary innovation lies in its transformative capabilities, featuring an ingeniously engineered lifting mechanism that allows the entire upper surface to be elevated from its standard height of 42 centimeters to a working height of 63 centimeters, effectively transitioning from a coffee table to a comfortable dining or work surface that complements sofa seating. Measuring 100 by 70 centimeters, the table's robust construction is characterized by minimalist form enhanced by U-shaped legs that bend outward and are tinted darker to evoke earthen elements, while concealing a spacious 20-centimeter deep storage compartment for books, electronics, and other personal items. The piece underwent meticulous development to achieve optimal proportions and functionality, utilizing CNC cutting technology combined with hand-polishing techniques, and finished with natural oils and wax to preserve the wood's inherent beauty.
