Masked-Man Fallacy
The Masked-Man Fallacy is a type of logical error that occurs when a person assumes that two different names or descriptions refer to the same thing. It is called the Masked-Man Fallacy because it often involves a masked man or a person wearing a disguise. However, it can also occur in other situations where two things are mistakenly assumed to be the same. The fallacy occurs when someone makes an assumption about a person or thing based on a superficial characteristic, such as a name or a physical appearance, without considering other relevant information. For example, if someone assumes that two people with the same name are the same person, they are committing the Masked-Man Fallacy. Similarly, if someone assumes that a person wearing a mask is the same person as someone they have seen before without any other evidence, they are also committing the fallacy. The Masked-Man Fallacy is a common mistake in everyday thinking and can lead to incorrect conclusions and unfair judgments. It is important to consider all available evidence and information before making assumptions about a person or thing. By avoiding this fallacy, individuals can make more accurate and fair assessments of the world around them.

Masked-Man Fallacy
The Masked-Man Fallacy is a type of mistake in thinking. It happens when someone assumes something is true without enough proof. For example, if a person sees a masked man walking around, they may assume he is up to no good. However, without more proof, the person is making a mistake by jumping to conclusions.
