Mask Capsule

Mask Capsule

Mask Capsule is an innovative personal protective equipment design that combines therapeutic aromatherapy with respiratory protection, developed by Chinese designer Chunfeng Lin. This sophisticated system integrates a replaceable capsule inhaler containing compressed natural plant extracts into a protective face mask, creating a multifunctional solution for various respiratory and wellness needs. The design incorporates pure botanical ingredients including mint, eucalyptus, nutmeg, cinnamon, black pepper, and amomum cardamomum, which are carefully compressed into tablet form without artificial additives or essential oils. The system's ingenious rotating mechanism allows users to control the release of therapeutic aromas, effectively addressing multiple concerns such as motion sickness, drowsiness, cold symptoms, and rhinitis while maintaining breathability and comfort. The capsule's compact dimensions of 32mm x 32mm x 15mm ensure portability, while its reusable design promotes sustainability through cleanable and replaceable components. This thoughtful integration of traditional botanical remedies with modern protective equipment earned recognition at the A' Design Award competition, receiving an Iron A' Design Award in the Safety Clothing and Personal Protective Equipment Design category, acknowledging its contribution to innovative protective equipment design that enhances user well-being while maintaining safety standards.
