Masa International Beauty Club is a sophisticated interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of artistic expression and functional aesthetics in contemporary beauty and wellness spaces. Located in Shanghai, this meticulously crafted establishment features an innovative lobby artwork inspired by British poet Keats's The Four Seasons of Life, where hand-crafted brass elements create dynamic shadow plays of English text through natural light, symbolically reflecting life's various stages. Designed by William Wei and Jolie Zhu, the space showcases a masterful integration of premium materials including Corian, brass, terrazzo, and wood, with particular attention paid to creating an atmosphere that evokes the softness and elegance associated with feminine beauty. The main area's pure white Corian surfaces are complemented by intricate brass line work on the floor and gracefully curved ceiling elements, creating a sophisticated spatial flow. The design, which earned a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2020, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail in its partition display perspectives, incorporating soft fabric armchairs and an atomizing fireplace to generate a rich visual experience. The project, completed between November 2018 and June 2019, successfully overcomes various construction challenges to achieve a harmonious blend of materials and details, resulting in a space that offers guests a uniquely relaxing and pleasant environment that celebrates both natural vitality and refined luxury.
