Marine Biodesign
Marine Biodesign is a design approach in Blue Architecture that uses living organisms from the ocean, like algae or seaweed, as building materials or as part of building systems. Designers can use these organisms to help filter water, make oxygen, or even create natural color and texture for surfaces. Some buildings use panels filled with microalgae to help control temperature and clean the air inside. These living systems can be grown and shaped for different uses, making buildings more connected to the ocean environment and helping to support marine life.
