Mantova New Life With Secret Garden Residential Private House

Mantova New Life With Secret Garden Residential Private House

Mantova New Life with Secret Garden Residential private house is a masterfully executed architectural restoration project of a 16th-century residence in Mantova, Italy, that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of historical preservation and contemporary design sensibilities. This distinguished residential renovation, completed under the artistic direction of architect Davide Cerini, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail in preserving and highlighting original architectural elements while introducing modern amenities and design solutions. The project's most notable achievement lies in its sophisticated integration of historical frescoes discovered during renovation, which were meticulously preserved and incorporated into the contemporary living space. The residence features state-of-the-art climate control systems seamlessly integrated into bespoke furniture and walls, underfloor heating, and advanced home automation systems, all carefully concealed to maintain the building's historical integrity. The design successfully addresses the medieval structure's inherent darkness through innovative window profiles and strategic placement of roof lights, approved by cultural heritage authorities. The interior spaces showcase a thoughtful material palette, including restored wood elements, carefully selected stone, and contemporary cement resin wall treatments that complement the historical structure. A striking custom-made steel central staircase with integrated LED lighting and bespoke stone steps serves as a modern architectural centerpiece. The project, which earned a Gold A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, represents a remarkable achievement in combining local artisanal craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology while preserving the soul of a historical building.
